Summary

An enchanting novel about fate, second chances, and hope, lost and found, by the Amazon Charts bestselling author of The Last of the Moon Girls

Soline Roussel is well schooled in the business of happy endings。 For generations her family has kept an exclusive bridal salon in Paris, where magic is worked with needle and thread。 It’s said that the bride who wears a Roussel gown is guaranteed a lifetime of joy。 But devastating losses during World War II leave Soline’s world and heart in ruins and her faith in love shaken。 She boxes up her memories, stowing them away, along with her broken dreams, determined to forget。

Decades later, while coping with her own tragic loss, aspiring gallery owner Rory Grant leases Soline’s old property and discovers a box containing letters and a vintage wedding dress, never worn。 When Rory returns the mementos, an unlikely friendship develops, and eerie parallels in Rory’s and Soline’s lives begin to surface。 It’s clear that they were destined to meet—and that Rory may hold the key to righting a forty-year wrong and opening the door to shared healing and, perhaps, a little magic。

Story line was a little predictable but still very well written。 I'm loving audio books。 The voices bring the characters and details to life。 Story line was a little predictable but still very well written。 I'm loving audio books。 The voices bring the characters and details to life。 。。。more

Honestly, I haven’t felt like reading historical fiction lately, which is weird for me since I usually love it… especially WWII-era stories。 With this book tour coming up, I kept delaying and thinking “oh I’ll just read one more book first because I just don’t feel like delving into history。” LET ME TELL YOU。 I was stupid to wait。 I binged this book and stayed up past midnight doing it (which is really late for me okay)。 I could not put it down。The Keeper of Happy Endings beautifully weaves the Honestly, I haven’t felt like reading historical fiction lately, which is weird for me since I usually love it… especially WWII-era stories。 With this book tour coming up, I kept delaying and thinking “oh I’ll just read one more book first because I just don’t feel like delving into history。” LET ME TELL YOU。 I was stupid to wait。 I binged this book and stayed up past midnight doing it (which is really late for me okay)。 I could not put it down。The Keeper of Happy Endings beautifully weaves the lives of Soline Roussel, a bridal dressmaker from Paris, and Rory Grant, a woman trying to forge her own path amidst many familial expectations。 Soline and Rory quickly find that their lives have many parallels and their relationship moves into a charming intergenerational friendship。 Soline’s story is revealed through a dual timeline back into WWII-era Paris, and connects perfectly back to the present。 I teared up about 3,028,184 times throughout this book and it was just a really perfect work of historical fiction。 That last page…WHEW。 I’M OUT OF MY HISTORICAL FICTION SLUMP。 Now to go read Barbara’s backlist。Thanks to Suzy Approved Book Tours and Barbara Davis for the copy of this book, bookmark, and door sign that will be very well used。 。。。more

If you want to be carried away in a novel with romance, mystery and family relationships, spanning two time periods, this is for you。 A lovely enchanting easy read, beautifully written。

I liked the writing style, but the story was unrealistic and way too sappy。 All the loose ends were tied up and everyone lived happily ever after。 I guess it would make a good beach book。

I loved it! I had the hardest time setting the book down。 A beautiful story of love, loss, and new beginnings。 My heart ached for the characters as if they were old friend。

AmazingThis story captured me from the first page。 Absolutely beautifully written。 It wove the two story timelines together so seamlessly。 Hard to put down。

The keeper of happy endingsThis book was amazing! I couldn't put it down。 It made you feel like you were really there watching everything as it transpired。 Made you angry and upset。 But in the end made you smile。 The keeper of happy endingsThis book was amazing! What a great find。 I picked this book up and was able to listen to it on audible, which was fun, since the narration was in character。 I enjoyed the two different point of views and the transition from past to present。 As the reader you got a true feel for how the past shaped the characters lives。 I just had a feeling that Soline and Rory would be related somehow, but wasn’t sure until the author put it all together。 I’m happy that Anson was able to see past the poison his father spread to find What a great find。 I picked this book up and was able to listen to it on audible, which was fun, since the narration was in character。 I enjoyed the two different point of views and the transition from past to present。 As the reader you got a true feel for how the past shaped the characters lives。 I just had a feeling that Soline and Rory would be related somehow, but wasn’t sure until the author put it all together。 I’m happy that Anson was able to see past the poison his father spread to find happiness。 I really enjoyed this story and how it was woven together。 。。。more

I don't want to post any spoilers, but this book had everything I love: WWII story, connection to "present day" storyline, endearing characters, and it tied together beautifully。 It was perfection。 I don't want to post any spoilers, but this book had everything I love: WWII story, connection to "present day" storyline, endearing characters, and it tied together beautifully。 It was perfection。 。。。more

A good love story with a little history addedI enjoyed the story with the different characters having different but similar personalities。 They also had to deal with hurts that others had inflicted on them。 You also get to explore parent and child relationships。
